MyPSI Committee 2012/2013

MyPSI is a committee consisting of Malaysian Postgraduate Student in Ireland. The organization of this committee for 2012/2013 are as follow:

Since its new foundation in 2006, Malaysian Post-Graduate Student Association Ireland has occupied a unique role in generating network among Malaysian Post Graduate Students drawn from various universities around Ireland. While networking remains the core of objective, the Society which is also known as MyPSI, provides a platform to its members to cooperate and communicate among the students in every aspects of life regardless of their background and skin colours. Its broad range of activities from barbeque to educational talks, are all intentionally organized to encourage and support the members to mainly survive not only academic-wise but also life-wise. MyPSI was launched on 25^th February 2006 at Malaysian Hall, Dublin and Ir Dr Saiful Amri was the first president of the Society during its earliest days.

Registration Status

MyPSI is registered society to the Education Malaysia (EM) UK and Eire. The society is registered under the name of Persatuan Pelajar Pacsa Ijazah Malaysia Ireland / Malaysian Postgraduate Society Ireland reference number JPMUK/IRE-PR07-002/Dublin.

Philosophy

Memupuk semangat dan suasana “kekitaan, persaudaraan, kesukarelaan dan bantu membantu” dalam menjalankan segala aktiviti demi untuk kebaikan dan kemudahan ahli-ahli.

Mission

Matlamat utama penubuhan persatuan ini adalah untuk memupuk semangat kerjasama serta memperkuatkan tali persaudaraan di antara ahli-ahli persatuan bagi tujuan perpaduan di kalangan persatuan-persatuan yang lain di Ireland. Beberapa objektif telah dirangka ke arah mencapai matlamat tersebut, antaranya adalah seperti berikut:

1. Berperanan sebagai platform untuk menjalinkan hubungan dan kerjasama di kalangan semua ahli dalam aspek akademik, kebajikan dan hal-hal yang berkaitan di dalam kehidupan seharian sepanjang berada di Ireland;
2. Menyelaras dan menghulur khidmat nasihat serta bantuan, terutama kepada pelajar pasca siswazah yang baru tiba di Ireland untuk menyesuaikan diri dengan persekitaran baru.
3. Menjadi pusat sumber maklumat dan rujukan untuk dikongsi bersama yang berkaitan dengan keperluan ahli dan juga keluarga.
4. Menjalinkan hubungan dengan seluruh masyarakat khususnya dengan pihak berkuasa, komuniti dan persatuan-persatuan Malaysia di Ireland, dan masyarakat luar umumnya.

5.  Menganjurkan majlis pertemuan/ perbincangan di kalangan ahli dari masa ke semasa serta menjalankan aktiviti-aktiviti yang bersesuaian secara kolektif seperti hari keluarga, program keagamaan, program sukan, program anak-anak, ekspedisi dan sebagainya.

Membership

Membership is open to all Malaysian Post Graduate Students and their spouse(s) who are studying in Ireland at Master, PhD or Post PhD level. The membership will be automatically terminated once the student has completed his or her studies or is no longer staying in Ireland and will be entitled to join MyPsi Alumni thereafter.

Membership Fee

All members are entitled to 10.00 euro of annual fees. Please be noted that spouse membership fees is not included in this amount and should be paid separately.

History of project

The idea comes from the committee members who suggested to have a platform for us to provide information to those who are coming for postgraduate study in Ireland. This leads to the creation of this project.
